I CRIED with joy,with relief,as I watched the video of New Mexico passing the resolution of impeachment of Bush/Cheney. I also cried because FINALLY I saw some action being taken regarding the criminal assaults on our Constitution by these men and the people around them. For the first time since 2001,I now have a new emotion...HOPE!
that none of the Republicans on the Committee showed up for the hearing. I hope their constituents remember that lack of representation next time they are up for re-election. They may have every right to disagree with the resolution and vote accordingly but they don't have a right to forgo their responsibility to represent those who live in their districts because they don't like what's on the agenda for that hearing.
Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official...
