Both his wife Yoko and son Sean believe this to be true. His murderer was involved with the military and was in all the right places to be mind controlled into killing John. (Just like Sirhan Sirhan, murderer of Robert Kennedy). Mark Allan Chapman had absolutely NO fascination with either John Lennon or with Holden Caulfield/Catcher in the Rye until he murdered John. John's murder came four years after he finally won his Green card, to the chagrin of the Establishment right wing characters who wanted to deport him: the same characters who, as a result of the victory of Ronald Reagan, were prepared to start another war in Central America. John Lennon was an incredibly powerful voice against war--he would have been a formidable opponent to the right wing war mongers in the U.S. ruling class in the 1980s had he lived.
It is therefore right and proper that we speak, act, write and sing in the name and the voice of our brilliantly creative and courageous dead hero. Right on, Brother! Stop the war against Iraq and Iran! Stop the nuclear Armageddon that these maniacal butchers are preparing! Long live the memory of John Lennon!
