A Senator's Letter on Impeachment

In this letter that Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon sent to a constituent in reply to a letter urging impeachment, he offers as his only reason for not pursuing impeachment the fact that he is in the Senate, not the House. He makes no other arguments against it, but rather lists what he is doing to advance it. He says he is pushing the Senate Intelligence Committee to "investigate" Bush's illegal spying. We should all be doing the same. He also mentions "conduct in the war" and "lobbyist influence in developing our energy policy". He wants Congress to be a "co-equal branch," unaware that it was designed to be the most powerful branch of our government.
