Hi Cindy,
I'm 50 yrs old My cousin, almost a big brother, Wayne Smith died in a mid air helicopter crash in Vietnam in June 1968. I know what it's like to hold your 8 yr old cousin as he tries to come to grips with the fact that his big brother he so loved and admired was never coming home? I've seen a mother when she has just learned that her son has died, and for nothing? As a 12 yr. old, those memories of my aunt Rosie and my cousin Guy crying and crying, are burned deep into my memory.
I know Cindy, I know what you are feeling, and I want you to know you are a GREAT AMERICAN! Keep the faith, real faith, not the fake faith that guy up the road says he has.

Dear Cindy,
When the dust settles you will be long remembered. Your courage and faith is a fitting
testiment to your son's memory.
I am a Vietnam vet and I stand beside you in spirit.
I want George Bush, Dick Cheney and others of their kind to send their children for once.
They always let others do the fighting and dying while they profit and speak of a necessary
sacrifice. Send the twins! Not to some desk job, but to the front line....
Bring our soldiers home!
Sincerely,

We're Behind You, Cindy!

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2005-08-09 19:00.
Cindy, I am so proud of you for standing your ground. I am sure you know that the reason Mr. Bush will not meet with you is because HE CANNOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION!!! There is no "noble cause," only lies and more lies. I can't believe he is so dumb to believe them himself. How I wish it were possible for me to be with you. I would be so proud to share a ditch with you.
My Vietnam Vet fiance is so afraid that there will be a knock on the door for me one day, for all the petitions I've signed and e-mail messages I've sent to the White House.
I am copying my latest message to Mr. Bush for you. Keep up the good work...YOU GO GIRL!!! We love you!
Proudly,
Marie Egnaczyk
=================================================================
Mr. Bush
I sit here sobbing again, watching the families waiting for the bodies of their sons, fathers, brothers, husbands on CNN. They were killed in a war that was proclaimed on LIES!!!
You know exactly where Bin Laden is. Why have you not captured him? He was the threat, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks.
Christ died for our sins, but Mr. Bush, thousands of men and women died for your stupidity, to feed your ego. Families have been forever shattered. Little ones will grow up without knowing their fathers and mothers, but knowing that they were heroes in an unjust war. What effect will that have on their lives and on society???
We are still dealing with the effects of Vietnam. My brother and my fiance are veterans of that fiasco and are suffering from the psychological effects of having been shot at, shot down, and seeing their buddies blown to bits before their eyes. And then, the unwelcome receptions they got when they came back.
My fiance's face has been scarred from Agent Orange, and injuries from a helicopter crash have rendered him disabled. But, the Army has no records of that crash, no records of the hospital treatments in Vietnam from the Agent Orange. No record of him even being in an area where he was exposed, so he was denied Agent Orange compensation. When he returned from the war, his mother screamed and cried when she saw his scarred face. For the past 35 years, he has to deal with the stares and pity when they see him.
I see first hand what happens to those who return and their families. We are so happy to have them home alive, but so sad and even angry when we see how it has affected them and their relationships, their quality of life, their future.
I shudder to think of what this generation and their families will be facing for generations to come. We see by the current polls that America is waking up to what you and VP Halliburton have done.
Shame on you, Mr. Bush. Shame, shame, shame!!!
With a heavy heart, I am

I think about our soldiers and the Iraqi people and worry about them every single day and at the same time, I'm called unpatriotic or one of those anti-war crazies because I never went along with this war. This evil was done in my name, in all of our names. I feel guilty even though I was very much against this invasion. I guess I don't feel I did enough to try and stop it.
I signed a petition about a month ago to impeach Bush. What makes me angry is that I almost didn't sign it because I was afraid. It takes courage to do what you are doing.

what a Ballsy Lady, this is what we DO need to hear from thoise that have had someone who has a loved one who made the supreme sacrifice. I am only sorry that I could not be there with you. A question I would like to ask Bush considering the figures coming from the Pentagon of 9000 dead which is a far cry from the 1800 that Bush claims for his War on Terrorism. Just what death benefits are now given to the survivors of those killed in battle, and what benefits are given to those classified as not dying in battle. Could it be that he is also cheating those survivors of others that have paid the ultimate price? I would put nothing below him and his traitorous carte. Keep up the good fight you are not alone.

Dear Cindy - Your bravery brings great honor to the memory of your fallen son and all those men and women, sons and daughters who have died for Bush's lies. You are a true hero, as was your son.
You will probably only receive more lies, platitudes and pretense in response. Your are a real hero in my eyes, because what you are doing brings honor and validation to those of us who have grieved over this evil madness and mayhem since "Shock and Awe" first rained down on the innocent people of Iraq.
I support your efforts all the way, and am one more woman with you, in heart and spirit.

" Next the statesmen will invent cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is attacked, and every man will be glad of those conscience-soothing falsities, and will diligently study them, and refuse to examine any refutations of them; and thus he will by and by convince himself that the war is just, and will thank God for the better sleep he enjoys after this process of grotesque self-deception." --
Mark Twain, The Mysterious Stranger, 1916, Ch.9
Mrs. Sheehan, I commend you for your stance in the face of
intimidation by the President's honor guard, otherwise known as the Secret Service. They need to guard what little honor he may have left
after his use of outdated intell, fear invoking word images, and yes out and out lies to pistol whip this country into a war.
You a being castigated by some for changing your storyline
on your Seattle visit with the President,A man who though he can no longer walk among his subjects(which is how he seems to view the public)constantly boasts of Freedom as the great cause for which (or should I say TO WHICH) your son gave his life.It does seem as if your
storyline is held to different standards than the man who took us to war. In keeping with constitutional necessity it had to be marketed
as a defensive move.[see Downing Street Memo]The present snake oil
pitch is that it is a noble cause. I must have not been in school the when we covered the part of the constitution concerning standing armies and noble causes.
Please may I extend my sympathy for the loss of your son and may
He continue to live on in the way you see fit to remember him.

A mother should not lose her son without understanding why, especially with this fraud of a presidency. Bush needs to be a real president and face the hard questions, he needs to face you and see the pain he has caused so many parents. I will never understand why your son had to die, I will never understand this war and am sickened at the state of our country. This is no longer America.

Bush - Courageous or Cowardly?

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2005-08-09 18:37.
Dear Cindy:
I applaud your efforts on our behalf. Though I have no children of my own, I consider your son my loss as well. I believe this: If GWB aggrees to meet with you it will signal that he has the courage to move beyond platitudes and rhetoric (dying for a noble cause) to start an honest discussion about why we are fighting this war and what we must do to win it and bring our children home. If he doesn't meet with you it will demonstrate that he is a coward of the greatest magnitude. If he proves to be that, my heart sinks knowing that everyday America's youth goes to battle under the leadership of such a man.

Dear Cindy,
Your prescence in Crawford, Texas has given me hope. For that I thank you most of all. You may be the spark that can be fanned into a flame. The war in Iraq is just the latest evidence that demonstrates that our government is no longer our own. I believe that the only power the powers that be fear is that of an aroused, truthfully informed populace. This is why they spend so much time and energy feeding us spin and lies through the media. Perhaps there is someone in the media with enough clout to ignite your story. Ted Turner are you listening? Where are your cameras and reporters when we need them the most? We can spend countless media hours and prime-time in-depth interviews on the "Runaway Bride", but barely a minute or two on the Mother of a fallen soldier holding a vigil in Crawford, Texas asking to speak with our President? The media will have a lot to answer for someday.
Cindy, thank you for your courage and perseverance. You are a true American patriot. Your son is proud of you.
Keep up the good work, and I'm truly sorry for your son's death.

“A Common Ground For Healing‿
For Susan, Justice, Jonathan and Grant
January 17, 2002
For most human beings, “closure‿ is an all-important concept which is commonly discussed more now than ever before. And though it is difficult to be positive in our common pain, "it is time (as Will Rogers might have said) to commence to begin" a meaningful end to this incredible chapter in the American Saga.
“Closure‿ is a final destination devoutly to be wished for the entire country and the entire world. Our journey toward closure must have a first step in order for us to ever arrive there together.
Transcendent of differences, most of us believe that we need to somehow say goodbye to those who have left us. Most of us attend a ceremony that includes a grave-side service ending with a handful of soil tossed with thoughtful reflection into the grave.
All of us experience the grieving process in our own way and at our own rate of speed. The majority of us will benefit emotionally if we can feel that our personal grief is included as a substantive part of our nation’s official business of healing. Healing which must include all the tragedies which have occurred since September 11, 2001.
Our people require at least an opportunity to gather spiritually at the “grave-side‿ in reflection for those in Heaven, but also to display to all men and women everywhere our positive resolve for the future. With thoughts of love and unity rather than those of hatred and confusion, each of us might be permitted to tenderly toss our handful of earth and finally begin to accept that
together we shall go on with hope.
IT IS THEREFORE PROPOSED THAT:
Beginning with local communities as organized by each municipal government and continuing on at the direction of the Office of the Governor of each state, and ultimately culminating with executive oversight resting with the Mayor of New York City, one million tons of earth will be gathered locally in every community. Handful-by-handful...earth offered up by millions of Americans from
every state in the Union, collected and combined, then transported to New York to mend the "wounded earth."
It is proposed that we use the hands of the nation to heal ourselves and put an end, with God’s help, to this nightmare experience. If this is done . . .
In years to come and forever more, generation after generation will return to find that the earth has healed and that our nation remains cleansed with common tears from such horror. Perhaps they will find the presence of the “better Angels of our nature,‿ to quote Mr. Lincoln, evidenced by peace instead of war, quiet instead of a deafening explosion, stability instead of collapse. And perhaps some of us may even return and remember that our own hands held for a moment the very soil that has filled the void.
Whether, as some people propose, this site will in future see even more lofty construction – or, as others may wish, it is transformed into the “little sister‿ to Central Park, the space is sacred and must in some manner be treated as a consecrated place.
As we know, a million tons of earth were originally excavated for the World Trade Center and went to create “New Real Estate‿ on the Hudson. We now have the opportunity to be revolutionary with our approach to a healing exercise, which is vital to us all. We have the opportunity to create a “Uniquely New and Real Estate‿ which we as one people will declare as a legacy to the world as “A Common Ground for Healing.‿

Look, your actions do not support the troops. You are grasping at liberal conspiracy theories to tear down the President. We need to win the war in Iraq, which is part of the war on terrorism. We need to do more than just ask them nicely not to attack us. This means that soldiers will be put at risk, but it is necessary to attack terrorists where they live before they hit us in America. This is reality, sorry but you need to hear the truth.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2005-08-09 18:37.
Did you get your right wing talking points from Scott McClellan?
Cindy's actions do not hurt the troops. She is taking advantage of the same freedoms her son died trying to give to Iraqis - the after-the-fact explanation given by this lame administration after everything else they said turned out to be lies.
Soldiers should only be put at risk after careful examination of facts and careful analysis of the real threat and consequences to actions that will be taken. Pompous idiots in suits sitting in air conditioned DC offices don't count since thety are too chickenshit to fight themselves.
This pathetic administration rushed to judgement and blew it horribly and her son died for it. Shame on you for wanting to curtail her freedoms. Why do you hate freedom?
BTW, are you of draft age? I hear it's been raised. Care to go help "support the troops" in a meaningful way and take up arms and fight for this administration's lies so Iraqis can have the same freedom you want to deny Cindy?
As a disclaimer, I'm a vet, I vote, and unfortunately, I stumped for GW in 2000 - to my regret now.

the point being she wants an explanation of what george w shrub is calling a"noble cause"
we were not attacked by "iraq" remember " osama bin laden" and the "al queda "?
we went after saddam which because Bush was afraid that they might attack us so he sent our troops over ther in the pretense of winning "iraqi freedom" i believe it was called
and yes they are free from saddams rule and butchery
but why are our kids friends and famiy members still over there dying every day when he has already declared "mission accomplished"
it looks like someone needs to be coming up with answers
and judging by her position i dont think you or anyone else telling cindy to go home is going to cut it
as a matter of fact the rest of us should be asking the same questions

Dear Cindy, I've seen you on TV, signed Conyers" petition et al. Hearing you at "the basement Caucus of the House" was impressive. I am disabled; otherwise would join you in person in Texas to demand from our "elected" president that he truly be accountable to his constituency, that he talk directly and in person and in his own words to the citizens of this country who are his boss. President Bush was "elected" to work for us, not to hide from us; to talk plainly to us, not to lie to us. President Bush is not above us, but one of us, as an American in a democratic society that, in theory does not recognize elitism, nor reward the arrogance of an "I know better than you" imperialistically-styled leader. Your child died to "allegedly protect this country's safety." You deserve thatb your president speak directly to you of your son's sacrifice, and why it had to be, why it was important, what was our leader thinking and saying to other world leaders that got us into this tragic war, with so many sons and daughters lost. You deserve to hear from P. Bush Why! There are millions of us behind you. Keep your courage. You make us proud to be Americans! Thank you, Dr. Fredrica Mann Breidenstein, Ardmore. PA

Dear Cindy,
I am so sorry that you lost your son, Casey, because of this Iraq mess. I cannot imagine the pain that you've had to go through, especially as you came to grips with the lies that have been perpetrated on this country by the Bush Administration.
I have nothing but admiration for you and your efforts to inform the country of the truth. You are so courageous; you are a true patriot.
Please don't back down. You have every right to confront George Bush and every right to call him a liar to his face. Don't be surprised if he won't give you the opportunity. He's a coward. Plain and simple.
In fact, maybe a new nickname for him would be appropriate: how about the Crawford Coward?
Don't give up. Hundreds of thousands of people, maybe millions, are with you in spirit in that ditch, even if we can't physically get there to participate in your vigil.
Peace be with you.

SLEEP IS A WEAPON--Try to find a bed w/AC.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2005-08-09 18:01.
We admire what you are doing Cindy. On some practical matters: Over the years we learn that SLEEP IS A WEAPON, but sometimes forget.
Read somewhere you were sleeping in the tent, which is admirable but I know how hard that is in the heat. Its critical that you be RESTED to be your best, particularly if you do get a meeting. Consider getting a REGULAR BED somewhere or even a MOTEL w/AC so you'll be fresh next day. Maybe someone with an RV could help you on that. That won't take away from the symbol of the tent being the camp. If the tent is someone else's, return it and buy a cheap tent to set up, and if someone steals it at night you can get another. Don't continue to sleep in the heat, it will ruin you.
With all you have to keep track of, practical matters untended could undermine the effort. Take care of yourself and eat right, and we know you won't forget the Downing Street Memo. We're all hoping the best for you Cindy.

Take it all the way Cindy Sheehan. Right now you are the voice for all of us who feel helpless and feel that we don't have a voice.
I am a mother of a Marine from the first Gulf War, who before he left to be brainwashed was a loving liberal--he came back as a person I barely recognized-full of racism and now is a very conservative Republican at the age of 38. Saddens me.
Anyway, I wish I was there. It is time for the sane and wise of humanity all over the world to start demanding peace within and peace without. Wars are beneath us at this stage of our intellectual, spiritual and moral development. Any leader of a people that uses war as a means to an end lacks character, humanity, humility, moral judgement and as far as I am concerned is a sign of pure insanity. They are a step backward and not forward. Leaders make wars and the rest of us pay dearly--like you have.
When are we going to realize that we are all in this together--all of humanity and that it is time to work together as brothers and sisters in peace. I know in my heart that most people around the world feel the same way. Unfortunately, it is the voices of greed, corruption and war-mongering that get the press. It is time for us to stand together in solidarity. I am completely ready at 55 years old to take to the streets and I pray to God that that there are many others like me.
I picketed outside the courthous in Colorado Springs for 3 months alone (even tho I had numerous supporters) against some very unjust and unconstitutional laws there. When it comes to your backyard, you either accept or fight back and I chose to hold onto my dignity and fight back and I accomplished a lot-in terms of awareness and action. So, I know that anger against injustices is a great motivator and if I were in your shoes and my son had been killed I would be doing exactly what you and other mothers are doing and even tho I cannot be there at this point-I am with you.
Sincerely,
Kathy Carlin

Thank you for being so brave
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2005-08-09 16:29.
Dear Cindy,
As a Canadian, I have been watching the invasion and occupation of Iraq and the apparent American descent into fascism with real terror and a sense of utter powerlessness. We have also been marching in the streets and protesting this brutal, illegal war.
When Bush came to visit our Prime Minister last year, there were tens of thousands of us here in little Ottawa (despite the fact that even our own media downplayed it),telling him to go home and to stop his lies and slaughter.
I am so sorry for the senseless death of your son, and I applaud your
incredibly inspiring courage. It seems to me that it is American women
who are doing the most to try to stop this atrocity. Today, when I read the latest on your story, I also read a piece by Monica Benderman, the wife of Kevin Benderman who tried to be a conscientious objector and who is being needlessly punished and disgraced. Mothers, wives, girlfriends... it is the women who really see the cruelty and baselessness of this war... and it is the women who have the courage to speak out.
Here in Canada, many of us support the soldiers who are trying to claim refugee status here. I know that is not a solution and it isn't very much. Bush doesn't listen to his own citizens, let alone us. But know that there are people all over the world - the majority of people - who feel deeply for you and who stand in solidarity with you.
You and Casey are the real American heroes. By making your stand, you
might save many lives. Your story might even touch the heart of some
embittered person who was thinking about killing innocent Americans
because of Bush. Like you, they might come to see the human costs of war through witnessing your tragedy and your brave struggle. I sure do hope so.
My thoughts are with you. Don't ever give up. You are an inspiration to us all and a reminder of what is good in life.
In Sisterhood and Solidarity,

Cindy,
You are now bigger than yourself, hold on for the ride and play your role with pride. I believe history will show that your actions were the turning point in American consciousness; the alarm clock that woke us from our slumber. You have placed yourself among an elite crowd of genuine leaders. Not the type of leader that buys their way in, not the type that shuck and jive for power and personal profit, but the type that earn their way in from the heart and consider others before themselves in the true Christian tradition. They are often times reluctant leaders, propelled to greatness by having a pure soul in the right place at the right time. The love of your heart pours through with clarity, we get it.
Your son is proud of you, I'm proud of you, and God is proud of you.

The God he leans on, is the same God he will answer too
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2005-08-09 02:32.
Dear Cindy:
God Bless you! I can not imagine the pain you are in. I don't ever want to have to live that pain either. The only solace I can get out of the ugliness this man has put you , and this country through. Is that as long as we believe, truly believe. This man will have to, along with all of those who supported him in the destruction of our beautiful country, and the killings that have occurred on his watch, will have to answer to the same God he proclaims to lean on. I have got to believe, otherwise I will completely go out of my mind.
I just wish, hope, and pray, that other families who have lost a loved one, will have the same courage you have and their loved one's had who died unnecessarily to go to Crawford and stand side by side with you.
In the end, they will in turn be standing side by side with their loved one who died. We don't really know why this man went over there. We have a pretty good idea. We know one thing for sure he lied about the weapons. And, we also know for sure. When you die, you can't take it with you.
Everything about this administration is a tragedy. From beginning to end. An American tragedy. Supporting you, is the best I can do. Outside of my prayers. Please, please, take care. Watch your back.
Sincerely, Patricia from New York

Don't take no for an answer, and don't take malarkey for an answer, either! You Rock, Cindy, and you ARE a rock!
Remember what anthropologist Margaret Meade said (something like), "Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world. In fact, that is the only thing that EVER HAS!" (emphsis added)
So many of us want to help, but are not at this moment able to slip the chains of survival to come down there. . . Or ARE WE?
Is that what you need most? For some of us to jump in a car and just get there?
What do we need to bring for ourselves, can we camp out? Or sleep in our cars?
I drove from Olympia, Washington to Nevada to see friends several times last year - about 10 hours - Crawford would be a little bit farther, but if we were a group. . .?
Dropping things and just doing what needs to be done for the higher good is never easy, but what do you say, people?
Is there anyone else out there seeing that this might be the right time to make our statement? to stand up and as "we the people" demand changes?

I would love to help, yet I am so scared. Bush really scares me... he reminds me of Hitler. I am afraid he is going to start persecuting anyone who is against his "regime." But it's true, something has to be done NOW or it will only get more dangerous. That was the mistake made in Nazi Germany-- nobody thought it would ever come to something as terrible as the holocaust, so the majority of people did not protest until it was too late.

Why Your Son Died: Peak Oil
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2005-08-08 23:57.
Dear Cindy,
I'm very sorry about your son's death and I honor what you are doing now. But Bush is not the only one to blame for your son's death. We are all to blame. The American people are sleepwalking through history. This war in Iraq is all about oil. But it's a little more complicated than enriching Bush's buddies. The human species is at a crossroads due to a phenominon called PEAK OIL. Terrorism and the Iraq War are all symptoms of an economic tsunami that is about to hit us: when global oil supply peaks. Unfortunately, our government's only solution is a military one. The following are some revealing quotes/facts/sources that prove my point.
- Cheney Energy Task force, May 2001:
"Our prosperity and way of life are sustained by energy use. Energy security must be a priority of U.S. Trade and Foreign policy."
- As a result of a Judicial Watch suit, it was exposed that this report also contained maps of Iraq's oil fields, pipelines, refineries, and terminals.
- Strategic Energy Policy Challenges for the 21st Century (report commisioned by Cheney's Energy Task force, April 2001):
"The U.S. remains a prisoner of it's energy dilema. Iraq remains a destabilizing infuence to the flow of oil to international markets from the Middle East. Saddam Hussein has also demonstrated a willingness to threaten to use the oil weapon and to use his own export progam to manipulate oil markets. Therefore the U.S. should conduct immediate policy review toward Iraq including military, energy, econonic, and political/diplomatic assessments."
- Check out www.willyoujoinus.com . Even the oil companies see the writing on the wall. Chevron is essentially admitting that Peak Oil is upon us.
- Check out speaches from Rebublican Congressman Roscoe Bartlett. They are available on the internet. He is one of the only PHD's in science in the House and is trying to educate Americans about this issue.
- Matt Simmons of Simmons International Investment Bank and member of Cheney's Energy Task force gives regular speaches about Peak Oil. His book, "Twilight in the Desert" is a study of Saudi Oil. They are lying about how much they have!
- Google "Peak Oil" and you will find much much more
I respect what you are doing now. It's just too easy for the right wing lunatic fringe to brush you off when you talk about Bush making his oil buddies rich. Bush is doing that because he is a wholly owned subsidiary of those people. I believe you have a unique opportunity to really bring attention to this critical issue. The Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas - USA is having it's opening meeting November 10th and 11th in Denver. You could bring publicity to the Peak Oil issue that is desperitely needed. Bush and his chronies don't have the guts to tell the truth about the crisis that we are facing.
Here is a prophetic quote from Jimmy Carter's Crisis of confidence speech in 1979 during the second oil crisis of the 70s:
"We are at a turning point in our history. There are two paths to choose. One is a path I've warned about tonight, the path that leads to fragmentation and self-interest. Down that road lies a mistaken idea of freedom, the right to grasp for ourselves some advantage over others. That path would be one of constant conflict between narrow interests ending in chaos and immobility. It is a certain route to failure."
I truely believe helping to spread the word about Peak Oil would be the best way to honor your son. Please consider!
Sincerely,
Neal C. Brandvik, extremely concerned U.S. citizen

On direct action...
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2005-08-08 23:05.
From Martin Luther King, Jr's "Letter From a Birmingham Jail":
You may well ask: "Why direct action? Why sit-ins, marches and so forth? Isn't negotiation a better path?"
You are quite right in calling, for negotiation. Indeed, this is the very purpose of direct action. Nonviolent direct action seeks to create such a crisis and foster such a tension that a community which has constantly refused to negotiate is forced to confront the issue. It seeks so to dramatize the issue that it can no longer be ignored.
My citing the creation of tension as part of the work of the nonviolent-resister may sound rather shocking. But I must confess that I am not afraid of the word "tension." I have earnestly opposed violent tension, but there is a type of constructive, nonviolent tension which is necessary for growth.
Just as Socrates felt that it was necessary to create a tension in the mind so that individuals could rise from the bondage of myths and half-truths to the unfettered realm of creative analysis and objective appraisal, we must we see the need for nonviolent gadflies to create the kind of tension in society that will help men rise from the dark depths of prejudice and racism to the majestic heights of understanding and brotherhood.
----------
My prayers are with Mrs. Sheehan and her family and all those who are able to join her in Crawford. Speaking truth to power is not easy and I applaud your courage. May God give you the wisdom to speak from your hearts with compassion and strength in the coming days.

Thank you for demanding answers from George Bush. He lied to get the country in this war, he continues to lie about the reason for it, and he approves of the torture of prisoners of war - a clear violation of the Geneva conventions. Worst of all - his actions have resulted in the deaths of innocent American soldiers and Iraqi civilians.
I hope more mothers join you. I admired the Russian mothers who went to Chechnya to get their sons from another senseless war. They said Nyet to Chechnya. I'm proud of you for saying No to Iraq and George Bush.

You were fabulous on Ed Schultz's radio show. I am truly inspired to hear someone speak from the heart and so frankly demand for the truth. Your dedication to your son's memory is so honorable. Thank you for exposing Bush's hypocrisy: his endless vacations while the nation is at war and his lack of sincere remorse for those who have fallen in this struggle. The simple act of wanting to meet with Bush has so brilliantly exposed the disconnect between the focus of this greedy administration and what the citizens want and need from the government for democracy to work at home. You are my hero and I am just sorry you have had to sacrifice so much.

I just wanted to tell you that I admire what you are doing very much. I'm only 24 and still a student, so I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a child, but you've turned your grief into productive action that will hopefully save many other parents' children. I hope others will be inspired by your example as I have been and I hope your name will be in the history textbooks that my children read as a single individual who turned the tide of the war, the country, and the world. We're behind you!

You are an inspiration to us all, Mrs. Sheehan. If I had enough money to travel, I would be by your side demanding answers with you and the rest of the brave souls camped out in Crawford.
How that arrogant bastard that calls himself pResident can deny you an audience is just shameful! I hope he knows the world is watching.
My best to you and everyone else in Goldstar Families. Blessed be!

Cindy, you are a true American hero. :) Thank you so much for standing up for the truth and justice, and against the cancer in our government that are the Bush Administration and their followers. We need more voices like yours--you have more courage in your little finger than all of the Bush Administration's chickenhawks have in their entire cabal. Bless you for all you are doing.

Thank you for standing up and refusing to be ignored. After a day of dealing with the consequences of willful ignorance, it's really heartening to read about your efforts down in Crawford. Made my day.
If you get arrested, I'll be on the phone to try to help out.

You have our families support, I wish I could send money but can't with the economy such as it is. Please no that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I wish I could join you in Crawford. Peace

Dear Mrs. Cindy Sheehan,
First, I am sorry for the loss of your son Casey and for the losses of the rest of the Gold Star Mothers. How this President Bush can sit inside his air conditioned ranch on vacation and totally ignore your request to meet with him and all along let you sit and bake in the sun along the road outside of his ranch is APPALLING ! President Bush can make time to take a Saudi Oil Prince by the hand ... literally ... and spend all of that time with him on his ranch, but he can't meet with a Gold Star Mother who has been camping outside of his ranch for days requesting to meet with him ? This is the "Compassionate Conservative" President ?
Where are our Democratic Senators and Representatives ? Each and every one of them should be there in Crawford, Texas right along side of you. The American people are tired of this President raping our country in both treasure and the environment and we are tired of our young people being sent and kept in Iraq to die for the War that was knowingly started on deliberate lies by President Bush/Cheney and the rest of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) made up of Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Bolton, Cheney, Libby and more ...
go to http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/EC20Ak07.html
All of us know that our country was deliberately lied into this War on Iraq and for our Democratic Senators and Representatives to go this long without uniting and holding President Bush/Cheney accountable is also APPALLING ! Our Democratic Senators and Representatives do have the power to unite and literally shut down the government if they want to and to put an end to this War in Iraq, bring our Troops home immediately, begin investigating the lies of the Bush Administration and then hold those criminal/liars accountable.
A message to our Democratic Senators and Representatives: If any one of you had a son or daughter actually fighting in Iraq and then were told that your son or daughter was killed in this War that was started on total lies, you damn well know that you could put a stop to it and that you would see it important enough to take action and do it. It's time to do more than just talk about it for the TV cameras and now actually get your butts on an airplane and down to Crawford, Texas to help Mrs. Cindy Sheehan and the rest of the Gold Star Families. Now get with it dammit !
Not one more soldier should have to die for Bush and Cheney's deliberate lie !

Does George W. Bush have no conscience? His hands are dripping with the blood of thousands and yet he doesn't have the courage to meet with you. He is a coward of the worst sort.

Not that it means much but I can't get there from here in Alaska right now otherwise I'd be there right now. Keep up the fight, don't let that dog of a non-man/unelected fraud get you down. Kick him in his political capital.
I served, twice, in the Army and the coast guard but it was a different country that I served. Now is'nt a good time for service people. I am sorry at your loss of your son; I believe he is now happier than any of us can be here in this place of evil. But I'm sorry that he was taken from you.
When you see * tell him to get off the world. Tell him to take his punk ass little head and go die somewhere. Tell him...well you know better than any others the frustration that this pathetic sorry assed emotionally lame little monkey causes.
Again, I'm sorry for your son.

Anyone with any intellegence understands why you are doing what you are doing. Our hearts go out to you and your family. How anyone can defend this monster they call a president is unfathomable. We were told that Iraq was linked to 9/11 (a lie) and that they had WMDs (another lie), and yet our children are still dying over there. This administration changes the story at every turn, and their supporters keep swollowing it. The tide is beginning to turn, mostly because of people like you who won't be shut down or turned away. It's never easy to stand against such seemingly overwhelming forces, but you show tremendous strength in it's wake. God bless you.

Thank God someone in this country has the guts to do what you're doing. I'm so sorry more people did not stand up and protest to try and stop this war before your son and so many others were sacraficed. But I think you have a real chance at getting some changes made. This could be the spark that ignites the movement necessary to end this horrible war. Hang in there!

I have no words that could ever heal the terrible pain of losing your son - all I can offer is my support, admiration and respect. I am a Brit and have been following your quest for answers for a while now and think you should know that people all over the world are thinking of you. Whatever Bush may try to convince the American people of, the world is not with him - we are with you.
You have integrity, strength and intelligence, three qualities I sincerely doubt President Bush is in possession of. And most importantly, you are right. He and his cronies should be ashamed at their threats to arrest you - if anyone is a threat to national security, it is those who try to silence the voices of reason.

Courage to speak up
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2005-08-08 18:33.
Dear Cindy:
I have followed with intense interest your courage and stamina in pursuing answers that all of us want. The Administration, led by the President, have lied to all of us and continue to do so. They must be stopped. I, too, have a son in the military and fortunately he has not been sent to Iraq but he was in the first war involving Iraq in 1991. Those of us with children in the military have our heart strings tugged every day when we read of more fallen soldiers. It is unbearable. I think you might mention to the President (if you get the chance) that he should be there leading his men into battle on the ground with the same protective gear they have. George Washington did, why not this George?
Best wishes to you and those who are at your side.

Hold on and hold out!
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2005-08-08 18:19.
Dear Cindy,
Don't give up, don't give in and don't settle for meeting with the toadies. You, like every other citizen, have a right to call your elected officals to account for their actions - as they serve only with the consent of the governed. You honor your son Casey by demanding answers of a man that heretofore has not been made to account for his actions, or inactions. I hope and pray for your safe return to California after you have had your conversation with Mr. Bush. I have left a message with the White House asking that the president meet with you, and if he cannot find 15 minutes within his five week vacation to do so, would he please tender his resignation.
I was able to honor your son, here in Sacramento, when the Americans Friends Service Committee set up the eyes wide open displayed his boots, along side over 150 pairs of boots representing the disproportionate losses in California alone. Sadly, I also honored William O'Day, who died early in the Iraq war. While I did not know O'Day the man, I will always remember him and his brother as little boys riding in the well of the shopping cart, pushed by his daddy in Santa Rosa. I thank you for your heroic efforts on behalf of the fallen and those who need to come home now.
I wish you peace and strength.

Cindy, don't despair - we're with you. All of you people out there - get off your butts and start picketing. There's a group of us that picket a busy "shoppers paradise" intersection EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY. It doesn't take any money - get your own sign and man the four corners. A good sign can say, "Support our Troops--Bring them Home Now" Every week, our support grows. DO it - DO NOT BE EMBARRASSED - it's better than beating your head against a wall and if it MAKES EVEN ONE APATHETIC PERSON DRIVING BY, THINK ABOUT THAT FILTHY WAR, IT'S WORTH IT!!

Using the powerful tool of your disbelief
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2005-08-08 09:46.
I was struck at how powerful your simple statements of disbelief were when you were talking to Wolf Blitzer. They gave you the party line, you disbelieve it. They tell you it is a noble cause, you don't believe it. How simple and powerful, and how it takes away their power to manipulate you. If only more Americans would wake up to this.
Thank you so much. I'm so sorry about your son.

I am the mother of a soldier. He is somewhere in Iraq. His exact location & mission is one big Army secret. This is NOT what he joined the National Guard to do! My heart goes out to you over the loss of your son. I can only pray by the grace of God that mine will come home to me safely. I have said from the beginning of this nightmare that if sonething were to happen to my child over there that the blame would lie on Bush's head. I do not call him my president. It was for his own personal, selfish, & egotistical reasons that we are there now. I want you to know that I support you & will pray that you have your "day in court" with the SOB who has led our country into this mess & cost so many lives. I am sorry for the circumstances that have put you where your at today but God Bless you for standing up & speaking out for us.

I can't imagine losing a love one the way you've lost your son. But the effort you are showing to get answers to why he died,I can imagine. Maybe some people who have supported this war but have not had to make any sacrifices will have a change of mind about this war. Whatever becomes of your fight to find answers, one thing is for sure. You're doing the right thing.

Women lead the way
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2005-08-08 08:47.
At the very beginning of the women's rights movement, it was also an anti-war movement because only women can really appreciate the horrible waste of life in wars started by men - the senseless deaths of their children in Pharaoh's army. This is the right message, delivered at the right time, in the right way, by the right person. Bush should be trembling in his cowboy boots, but he's probably too stupid to realize what is happening.
Your high and mighty status and your fawning courtiers (and fawning media) will not help you escape reality now, Mr. President. Neither will your twistings of the truth and your outright lies!

You're a real jerk you know. Why can't you just let this woman do what she wants to do?
The president should be held responsible for his actions, and its our duty as citizens to do it. He has the duty to respond to citizens, since we pay his wages. It's obvious that you don't agree with Cindy, but at least she has a belief and is acting on them. I suppose she could be just a "coward" and post anonymous comments on an internet message board...
Nice post, there, Mr/Miss Anonymous.
I often wonder why people lash out at other people the way you have. I wonder what would make a person say these horrible things about someone they don't know. When I've asked people why they feel the need to do this sort of thing it usually comes down to fear. They are afraid for many reason, but it often is because they are being forced to face something that they don't want to face.
We have been "sheltered" from this war by a media that caters to the whims of the government. We have not had to face the reality of war, the death, the pain, the loss, the ugliness, because it isn't on the nightly news like it was during Vietnam. That's too bad. By not facing reality we become more fearful when it knocks on our television sets in the form of a mother grieving for her son and speaking out against the war. That woman could be any of us mourning for a loved one. And that is very frightening.
Hurling anonymous pejoratives does not make a very elegant argument for any of your points. Not that you have any. Your responses to her quotes show you to be as poorly informed as you are poorly spoken. There are articulate arguments for staying in Iraq. I don't agree with them; they can be made. Your perception of some hegemony of the left is laughable. I'm glad that you opened with Cindy's quotes after first meeting with the President. What it shows is that peoples' opinions change and evolve. Given the complexity of US foreign policy in general and the illegal war in Iraq in particular, maintaining the same opinion through this morass shows a certain political and intellectual laziness that is a benchmark of the people for whom you think you are speaking. Peoples' opinions are obviously changing as Cindy's have. Even the most conservative polls show a steady erosion of support for the President's policies.
Stop being such a coward. If you want to make such forceful points then at least invite dialogue. Sign your name. Own your opinions. It's easy to take cheap shots when you don't have to be personally answerable for anything you say. Your criticisms of Cindy Sheehan are metaphoric of the President's handling of the war in Iraq: you are both poorly informed, you are both afraid to hear back directly from anyone who opposes your point of view, you are both unwilling to think about your points of view and possibly change your mind, and you are both unable to admit that public opinion is against you. Time to redress your ignorance and engage in a civil dialogue.
Peace,
Sean
Dear Cindy,
We want you to know that you have strong supporters in Switzerland. We are thinking of you and feel that with your courageous actions you will be able to pave the way for the U.S. to get out of Iraq and make Bush and his people accountable for their illegal and immoral actions. We are so sorry about your son Casey, but want you to know how lucky he was to have had you as his mother.
Sincerely,
Lisa Bettina Durham and Family
Aigle, Switzerland
Hey cindy, my name is Elianny Nova. I am 18yrs old. It makes me angry to see how Bush mistreats our soldiers for his own benefits. I´m sorry about your son. I want Bush to be out of office. He should be expelled. My sister is 21 years old and is currently in the army. I fear that something will happen to her because of Bush´s doing. Instead of making us safe he puts our lives in danger. I hope that you are doing okay now. I admire you for fighting for an explanation.. keep trying.. we´ll all fight with you.
First of all I'd like to say that I can't say sorry enough for the loss you are fealing of your son. You know, it's to bad that this country has been misled blindly into a war which should have never happened in the first place. Everybody who acutally reads the news and pays attention rather than watching fox news, knows that this war is nothing but b.s. and a personal agenda that president bush had intended to pursue long before the attacks on 9/11. Lets just be real here, there are no weapons of mass destruction (which that is what we went there for), the people are no more free than what they were before we entered the country (supposubly we were supposed to be "freeing the iraqis after we realized there were no weapons of mass destruction), and now when there is no other reason to be there, we're "doing the right thing". Hopefully the rednecks, bible thumpers, true republicans, "moral value supporters", and all the other ignorant people that support this asshole (president bush) will realize that this war is not what is seems and bush needs to be impeached. Come on now, the worst thing that happened when Clinton was in office was he got a little action, how many people lost their lives over that??????? Good luck with your cause and don't listen to the negativity, those people are ignorant.
Hello You fool. You forgot Clinton dropping all those nice little "peacekeeping" bombs on Kosovo and Bosnia? What a fool you are.
Cindy's own son would HATE what she is doing. She volunteered...TWICE...for the Army. He SUPPORTED the war on terrorism.
What names do you want to call him????
The main gripe that she has (as well as the majority of americans) is that there is piling evidence of corruption leading up to invading Iraq for the illegal causes of political change and oil and trying to circumvent the Constitution. Yes, Clinton did drop bombs on those other countries, that is not the dispute. The Constitution allows the President to make war for 90 days, after that, it must be approved by congress. The bombing of those countries did not least mroe than 90 days in each, therefore he was whithinhis right. I'm not saying it IS right, I'm just saying that it has no bearing on the issue that Cindy is trying to bring attention to.
"Who is the bigger fool, the fool that leads, or the fool that follows"
There is no 'evidence' There are only LeftWingNuts saying there is.
You lost the election. Time for you to Put Ice On It and Move On
I am not left, or right, I have tried to remain as nuetral as I can. But anyone who has kept their head out of their butt for any amount of time, and actualy did a little research on the people they critice and not blindly defend the corruption, then you would know what evidence that I'm talking about.
I am not a left or right either. I vote for who ever I feel will do the best job and I didn't think George Bush would, either time. We are just Americans who want the truth and want the ones who put us into this God awful mess to be held accountable. They have done a wonderful job at dividing this country in the name of God haven't they? Hats off to you Karl Rove!!
WHOS the FOOL? PRESIDENT CLINTON didn't get one soldier killed in either conflict. Go wag that one
Plenty died while Bubba was in office.
Black Hawk Down anyone?
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000; President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
If Clinton had kept his promises, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, D.C. that are now dead would be alive today.
And, now that Bush is taking action to bring these people to justice, we have opponents charging him with being a warmonger...
AN INTERESTING QUESTION:
This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show.
Without casting stones, it is a legitimate question.
There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why was it that the Clinton Administration spent more money chasing down Bill Gates over their eight years than It did going after Osama bin Laden?
THINK ABOUT IT!
It is a strange turn of events.
Hillary gets $8 Million for her memoir.
Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir.
This from two people who have spent their 8 years in office being unable to recall anything about past events while under oath!
Remember:
The Alamo
Pearl Harbor
9-11-01
The Clinton Years
All American Disasters!!!
Nice try but no cigar(PUN INTENDED) Black hawk down was Daddy bush's baby. Clinton didn't bomb the WTC, too bad. After that bombing and also the Cole's bombing he tried to go after OSL but of course the dumb ass repukes cried "he's wagging the dog over Monica" so they stopped him in his tracks. And NOW you want to blame him for 9/11? Oh please, this is monkey boy's fault along with kindasleazy Rice's and cheneys. THEY are responsible for those deaths and PLENTY more. You see it's kinda like this, little frat boy LOVES death. He has so much blood on HIS hands they will never be clean. Eat that
Isn't it ironic that Richard Nixon was impeached for spying on the Democratic headquarters, serious, yes! The Republicans tried to impeach Bill Clinton for having an affair and then lying about it, serious, yes! But this president can lie to the American people, invade another country wihich is a crime, fix the intelligence to fit his goal, oust a CIA agent because her husband told the truth, ignore the itelligence of 911 and get thousands of people killed and the list goes on...No one in the Government has called for an investigation or an impeachment. When the American people try to get to the bottom of all of this and get the truth out we are considered a bunch of liers. You can sure tell who's been running the show in this country for the past 5 years.
I PITY YOU POOR FOOLS---------WHERE IS BIN LADEN "WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE!"
REMEMBER CLINTON'S YEARS-PEACE AND PROSPERITY, RECORD SURPLUS, HIGHEST JOB GROWTH - YOU COULD ONLY WISH THE WORLD WAS LIKE THAT NOW! IT IS BECAUSE THIS CORRUPT PRESIDENT THE WORLD IS AGAINST US, THOUSANDS OF MORE TERRORISTS, ECONOMY SUCKS, LOWEST JOB GROWTH IN OVER 4O YEARS, BUSH AND HIS GANG OF THUGS HAVE JUSTIFIED THEIR ACTIONS IN RELIGIOUS TERMINOLOGY - THE SAME KIND OF JUSTIFICATION BIN LADEN USED! IT WAS BUSH THAT WAS WARNED 1 MONTH PRIOR THAT BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO ATTACK AMERICA WITH PLANES - WHAT DID THE MORON DO...........NOTHING! IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH!
Dear Cindy,
It has been one of the most moving experiences of my interesting life to have witnessed your development and emergent clarity since Casey died. It has been some long time since I could without guilt and shame feel proud of my country: the USA. You are giving hope that one day, and not too long now, we can repossess our country.
Love,
Malcolm
Dear Cindy,
Thank you for standing up to be counted. Your courage is doing more to expose the vileness of the Emperor Bush and His cronies than anyone else. You are always in our thoughts.
Aengus
I like the Emperor Bush statement. We've always called him "King George" in our house. You mess with the King and you get burned.
Cindy,
You are brave courageous and doing a great thing in demanding that the president be accountable for his bloody war. Personally I don't think we can just pull out at this point, but we never should have been there in the first place. If you ever get that meeting with W, will you ask him what kind of sustainable high paying jobs he is creating for the American People. Will you ask him why his administration is not doing more to encourage americans to use public transportation, will you ask him why the vice president can make millions in profits from this bloody mess in Iraq.
Tell him that Most educated Americans know that oil is unsustainable, it's not worth fighting wars over. We need to work out our own energy solutions here in our own country, and create real jobs for americans in the process.
I think the best thing we could do for this country is impeach the whole administration.
Thank you so much Cindy for speaking up. Nothing can bring your son back, but you do him great honor in demanding the truth.
-Isaac
Please keep doing what you are doing!
Love!
Hi Cindy: I want you to know, I am another person you touched. When I first heard you speak, I had the urge to cry. Not out of saddness, but, rahter for your demonstration of courage. It is awesome. Shock and Awe...The real kind. LOL
Thank you for the sacrifice you are making. I really, really, really appreciate it. You are a Real Woman.
Hi. What an inspiration you are! The american troops must be so grateful for what you do. YOU ARE THE HOPE OF MANY and your stand and determination will pay. Many can't do what you do because they are just too comfortable, peer pressure, fear of losing friends, jobs, etc... they need to keep paying the bills; they fear confrontation; they don't know what they want or how to justify. People such as you is rare and you are a hope for many. You honor your son's death in the best way and he must be happy for you. Your son did not die in vain and your actions and the hope you reperesent are the reason. No matter who or what is in power, you deserve an explanation; you hurt them in the place where it hurts the worst. Their actions and procedures do not have a firm fundament and you are hitting on the spot. As per the media who critizices you, they are cucu in the head; they don't know how to lose someone in a cause such as this is. If someone with common sense and no monetary or public interests would sitdown and think about the war, they would condone it. It's just common sense.
Hihi CINDY
Bush said that it would make America safer by commiting American children to war in Iraq. Your son, I am sure, serves his country with pride and dignity, and he trusted his President. He paid for with his life when the Preisdent of United State of America pursued his own agenda, which is not making America safe, but make him and is administration's cronies richer.
Iraq was never a threat to America, not before, not during and not after the Invasion of Iraq. Your son is not only precious to you but to the whole world, because he died believing in PEACE.
We love him and we love you too..........
May GOD give you strength and PEACE to America.
Love KC & family
The world LAUGHS at Cindy and Casey's family is against her
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
Wow, does every anti-Cindy person here have to post the same quote?? I mean does anyone actually read other posts?? From an interview from Cindy:
Still putting out the O'Reilly fires of me being a traitor and using Casey's name dishonorably, my in-laws sent out a press conference disagreeing with me in strong terms; which is totally okay with me, because they barely knew Casey. We have always been on separate sides of the fence politically and I have not spoken to them since the elections when they supported the man who is responsible for Casey's death. The thing that matters to me is that my family: Casey's dad and my other 3 kids are on the same side of the fence that I am.
It seems that this quote is at odds with the others...
YOU ARE AS MUCH A PART OF CINDY'S FAMILY AS THE RATS IN SEWERS! STOP LYING AND TELL THE TRUTH - YOU DID NOT EVEN HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH CASEY. SHAME ON YOU. WHY AREN'T YOU PRINTING YOUR NAMES???? YOU ARE NOTHING BUT LOW CLASS PIECES OF GARBAGE. HEY, COUSINS....WHY AREN'T YOU IN IRAQ? I FIGURED YOU WERE COWARDS JUST LIKE THE PRESIDENT YOU SO ADMIRE. CHICKENHAWKS-WILLING TO SEND SOMEONE ELSE'S KID TO DIE AS LONG AS THEY AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE SAFE! SATAN HAS A PLACE FOR ALL OF YOU!
dear Cindy,
my english is vey bad and don't wont write too much.
I, and milion of italian people hope in you and in this (your) part of american people.
Mr. Bush and co. are dangerus!
Stop them...please
Cindy votre cause est noble, en France nous pensons beaucoup à tous ces jeunes morts pour rien ! Courage à vous, nous vous soutenons et condamnons la politique de Bush en Irak . Vous travaillez pour la paix et nous vous aimons.
Cindy your cause is noble, in France we think much of all these young deaths for nothing! Courage with you, we support you and condemn the policy of Bush in Iraq. You work for peace and we love you.
Dear Cindy:
First of all, you go girl!
I post on a political board and the neocons are pretty afraid of you. I had one of them ask, "I wonder how much she is being paid to be anti-Bush." I replied:
"Her son paid Bush with his blood in order that his Mom would be able to ask the president what noble cause did he die for. I would say that is payment in full."
Terri
Cindy, the thinking and feeling people of America love, admire and respect you and your courage. Please stay safe. Thank you for your voice. Please take solace in knowing that Casey is with you now, he is close by and he is proud of you. Stay strong. We wish you love and strength. I lost two baby boys shortly after their births (premature twins) I only knew them two and three weeks but they are forever with me. I will never get over watching them die. But somehow I have learned to cope. That's all I can handle. So remember that he's with you and he loves you for being a great mom. Much Love,
Hall Family
Dear Cindy:
Only your have the true right to grieve for your son in any fashion you see fit. You apparently married into a family full of ignorant folk. I see these hate filled comments written by people who have no respect for you or your son's memory and I am heatbroken for you and for our country that this is what we have become because W. needed his war. Stay stong. You are on the right course. Sail on. Diana
Dear Cindy, the world is watching your struggle for the truth! The world is behind you, full of admiration. We feel with you. May God bless you. Greeting from Germany! Bernd
We support you.
It was indeed for OIL, what else?
Remember the footage after a few days when they invaded Iraque,
Troops defending the ministry of Oil while hospitals were being robbed.
If it wasn't so cynically shocking, I would think of a Monty Python sketch.
Are we civilized? No!
Dear Cindy:
I woke up this morning with hope because of you.I read a great many of the entries written here and can see that there are so many who believe as I do. The entries filled with hate are so silly that I suddenly realize the incredible fear lurking in them. These folks cannot admit that W. lead them down a losing path and if there is one thing a Neo-Con can't stand is to be wrong. They scream and yell at you. They flaunt their ignorance and bad manners. I almost feel sorry for them. But this morning, as the sun is rising, I think of you instead and how proud I will be to tell my young children about you and what you are doing. You are a true Patriot. You are a true American. I am so very proud of you. Diana Leavengood
You said that perfectly!!! Here Here!!
Cindy, When your son went to Iraq there was always the possibility he might not come back. Sadly he gave his his life but there is a generation that will appreciate his sacrifice. The nation of Iraq if given the chance will honor all those who have fallen. Your questions about the war should really be directed to the Islamic terrorists who killed your son. Yes, this war was going to happen 9/11 was unprovoked. YOUR SON WAS A WARRIOR THOSE INNOCENTS IN 9/11 WERE NOT. They went to work not to war and died at the hands of Islamic hate mongers for simply being American. Have we so easily forgotten? AND Yes there is a connection! Cindy, your grief is allowing you to be used and your cause will not honor son's death. Your answers lie with the terrorists and their motivation. All those who have hated Bush are using your grief and exploiting you! They are marketing your soul and pimping your emotions. And after they have "used you" they will disgard you just like pimps do. They are worse then the man they hate so much and do the very things they say they hate, such as lie, mislead and twist the truth. Cindy, grieve for your son and process the pain and look at the real enemy and their agenda. America is not the enemy as some would have you beleive.
In Hopes your soul will be healed
Grant Galloway
How dare you!!! The Downing Street memo's have been leaked, the truth is out, in writing and Cindy is the vessel for the American people to finally get the truth out about this God awful war that yes, George Bush and the rest of his filthy lying group started. George Bush had to have this war. He tried and tried and tried and when nothing else worked he put pressure on the intelligence to find something. Well, they helped him out and he awarded George Tenet the medal of freedom for his good work right after he bailed from his job. There has been corruption around this administration since the day George Bush took office and YES many people hate him. FOR GOOD REASON!! Get your head out and take a look at what this corrupt Government has done to this Country. READ, WATCH, LISTEN and stop being so naive!!!!!
Cindys not saying America is the enemy, Grant are you 12 years of age or just a proffesional Moron?
Please can you provide me with the address of your school, so i dont send my kids there to get a 3rd rate education...
PS: Go sign up for Iraq!
I respect everyone's right to speak out on hard issues, including you, Mrs. Sheehan. It might help you to know that the party politics and the other labels being thrown around are only smokescreens. The real truth is this: both this commander-in-chief and the former one are 33rd degree Masons. Masons are sworn to loyalty to other Masons at all costs and will and have done whatever is necessary to "help" another Mason in need. The tremendous amounts of money made by many in the last three undeclared conflicts was made and is being made by this powerful clique. I was a Vietnam tunnel rat and a Recruiting Sergeant and I saw the machine at work.
Dear Cindy,
I've just read about your courageous battle to meet with GW. If and when you get your chance you might remind the president that his old buddy in crime, Mr. Aznar, was voted out of office by the Spanish people who elected a president who promised to bring the Spanish troops home and did so shortly after being elected. It's a disgrace that Bush was re-elected: where were the protestors when we needed them? I say "we" not only because I'm an American living abroad but also because "we" the world needed a new president!!
Dear Cindy,
Sorry I can't write in English so well, but I'll try my best :)
I'm a brazilian 28 y.o. woman. Thanks God in Brazil we do not have war or a mad president like Bush.
I read a new about you in a brazilian website and I would like to tell you that, like me, there are a lot of brazilian people that support your "fight against Bush". As you said, I would like to see if he has courage to send his daughters or go there by himself.
I support you, Cindy. A lot of brazilians too.
Good luck and God bless you forever !
My best regards, Carol
Let me assure you all that the lies and secrets connected with the War in Iraq is literally the tip of the iceberg. How naive we are to think that we are kept informed on issues that affect our lives. We are decieved daily by the Government. Open your eyes, America.
CINDY SHEEHAN, read my words. I am with you. The posts you are reading are from many others who are with you. And there are countless other millions who are with you, but are afraid to speak out. Keep repeating these words: WE, THE PEOPLE...
Dear Cindy,
I have caught you on the news several times, CNN, MSNBC and NBC but I have not heard any remarks from you or the media about why you blame George Bush for your sons death. I have heard not a word about the Downing Street Memo's or the lies and deseption of this administration. I think alot of the news stations are just running pieces of what you say and it makes it sound to me, as an observer that you are there just to speak with the President, which they say you already have a year ago and to demand that the troops be brought home, nothing more. I understand why your there and totally agree with you. If it were my son I would be there too but I'm concerned that people watching the news are not getting the full picture of what has taken place in this country since 911. Many people out there are uninformed and I don't think there are many at all that have heard of the Downing Street memo's. I've just recently found them on the internet by accident. I just wanted you to know that the T.V stations are not giving much info about your resoning for being there. Good Luck to you Cindy and Thanks so much for fighting for the American people, justice and the truth. God Bless you!!!
I TOTALLY SUPPORT CINDY SHEEHAN AND I KNOW SO MANY OTHERS WHO ALSO SUPPORT HER. I THINK BUSH IS A COWARD FOR NOT WANTING TO MEET WITH HER. I LOVE HER FOR ASKING "Mr. President. You have daughters. How would you feel if one of them was killed?" I FULLY SUPPORT CINDY...YOU GO MAMA
Hi Cindy
I am a London antiwar activist and was at a STW meeting in London on Wednesday night, where a member of Veterans For Peace joined us and spoke of you, urging everyone to get behind your campaign.
I've been unable to post until now, such must have been the traffic to this site, but please know, you are in the thoughts of many, many people from all around the world, and will continue to be so.
The fact that the right wing is smearing you and your campaign so viciously now just goes to show YOU ARE MAKING AN IMPACT.
I am so sorry for your loss and so proud of what you have achieved despite your grief. You will be an inspiration to many.
I wish you all the best and please, please please don't forget, when you get your showdown with Bu$h, give it to him BIG - you carry a lot of us with you!
In peace and solidarity,
Kat
Thank you Cindy for being brave and steadfast. Fighting for your son in death, as you did his entire short life, is the true meaning of motherhood. George Bush most definitely doesn't possess those same qualities. That means, I'm afraid, that he won't have the courage to meet with you. He confuses bravery with bullying from a safe distance and being steadfast with pig headedness. Even though I can't join you in Texas, I am there with you in spirit. I too, want the troops brought home now. There are many of us out here supporting you in many ways. Carry that thought with you at all times and know that you have an entire army standing with you, especially when those on the brainwashed right try to smear your good name.
Cindy loves 8=======D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And she gets paid for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whore!!!!!!!!!!!!
