but I think parodies of Broadway showtunes are simply going to make it harder for us to be taken seriously. I'm all about artistic expression, but I'm not sure what this does for us.
Anyway, with that being said, it's very clever. ;-) I just don't know if it makes people any more likely to become active (except in the theater, of course).

We can't have a movement without songs and energy - it just won't happen. And, trust me, tightening our ties won't make GE or Viacom think of us as any more "serious."

Crazy, For your info "On Broadway" is not a show tune, It was a pop hit for the Drifters in 1963 and remade by George Benson in 1978. I don't know if it's a good tune to make into a parody but to anyone over 30 it's a very recognizable tune and any parody should be recognizable. That said it's about time somebody did something. The question is how do we get radio stations to play this.

Great song... Remember the Repug playbook...the more people hear something, the more they think it is the truth.... Well, this is the truth, it just has to break into their consciousness. It is very hard to believe that your government would betray you the way these guys have.

It just lifts my spirits to enter the Blogosphere for a few minutes each day and remember there are other people who are just as dismayed at what America's leaders are doing to this great nation. I love my country and hate to see its greateness diminished the way it's been by these guys.
