That is because Wilson had disrupted the larger deception.
"The plot against Wilson," is not something being alleged by us. Rather that is the phrase that used by the Judge in the Judy Miller case.

On Lou Dobbs a couple of weeks ago Lawrence O'Donnell said that Fitzgerald was investigating the "plot" against Wilson.
