L.A.’s “Out of Iraq
The 911 comission just like Congress, the Senate, and the American people were misslead by the Bush administration. The information given to the comission was what the White House wanted to disclose. Had the comission had the the Downing Street Memos, or access to them at the time, I think Bush and his goons would have been booted out of office.
Though the comission has already submitted their findings, and the case has been closed, since evidence were deliberetly left out, the investigation should be reopened. This case is no different than when an attorney leaves out evidence that both sides should have.
I attended the rally and was impressed by the speakers, and was particularly moved by Fernando Suarez deSolar and Jane Bright, both of whom lost boys in Iraq, and I'd love to join the cheers of "Out of Iraq NOW", but I'd like to see us leave with much more responsibility than how we went in. I was more moved to action by the calls for impeachment against President Bush for fixing the facts around the policy and deceiving the nation into thinking Iraq was an imminent nuclear threat and that war was necessary. I'm outraged by the consent manufactured by this administration, and hope that indictments regarding the Rove / Plame case are just the beginning of judicious reparations.
