Video: Baltimore Rally to Save America's Postal Service

By BillyClub - Posted on 27 September 2011

On Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 27, 2011, a rally was held, in Baltimore, MD, to save America's Postal Service. It was staged in front of the down town office of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-7th). Some members of the US Congress, under the influence of the Far Right Tea Bag ideologues, are threatening to slash the operating budget of the Postal Service. This, if successful, will result in massive closures of Post Offices around the country and the lost of hundreds of thousands of postal workers jobs. The Postal Workers are advocating for H.R. 1351. Rep. Cummings, Rep. John Sarbanes (D-3rd) and "Dutch" Ruppersberger (D-2nd) have all signed on to this important Bill. To learn more, go to: /AmericanPostalService.
