By BillyClub - Posted on 05 January 2012

On Wednesday evening, Jan. 4, 2012, a press conference/community meeting was held at the Workers United Union Hall in Baltimore, MD. Its purpose was to plan for a "March-4-Jobs & Justice Day" set for Jan. 14th in Baltimore. The objective is to make MLK, Jr.'s Day, Jan. 14th, an "Occupy-4-Jobs Day." Dr. Helena Hicks, a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement, was the featured speaker, and the Rev. Cortly CD Witherspoon served as the MC for the program. Also speaking were Marvin "Doc" Cheatham; Sharon Black; and, an activist from "Occupy Baltimore." To learn more, go to: Occupy4Jobs.
