NO war NO sanctions NO intervention NO assassinations

This week, more than a dozen anti-war organizations responded to a call by World Can't Wait to plan for a day of Mass Action against war or on sanctions on Iran.  We united on a day, Saturday February 4, for the first action, and a simple set of demands:

NO war NO sanctions NO intervention NO assassinations

In many respects, the U.S. war on Iran has been ongoing, with low intensity war in form of drone surveillance; funding of "opposition" groups inside the country, and so-called "black ops" carried out by U.S. special forces inside the country.

As we have been emphasizing, sanctions are a form and prelude to war, not a way of avoiding war.  Most critically, they hurt civilians.  See Sanctions: Not a “Diplomatic Alternative” to War, but Mass Murder of Civilians for a look at how sanctions were used against Iraq.
