Kucinich: DOD role in Undermining State Department's Mission in Iraq Warrants Further Consideration

Washington D.C. (September 23, 2010) – Speaking before a committee hearing examining the State Department’s role in securing a peaceful transition in Iraq, Congressman Dennis Kucinich examined the barriers erected by the Department of Defense in handing over the Iraq war to the State Department following the Defense Department’s scheduled withdrawal from the country by December 31, 2011.

“Mr. Chairman, what we really ought to be doing is calling the Secretary of Defense in front of this Committee and General Petraeus and get them to explain why they are not cooperating with the State Department. The State Department has been given a ‘mission impossible,’ given the fact that the Department of Defense is not cooperating and we know why. They don’t want to leave. Why don’t they want to leave? Well that is a subject for another hearing,” added Kucinich.

The military is taking over the State Department and the rest of the bureaucracy and bringing along their contracting corruption. But don't worry for Hillary. She has been up to her neck in corruption from the get-go.
