Doreen Hicks: “Healthcare is a Human Right!”
On Wednesday morning, Feb. 23, 2011, activists rallied at Lawyers Mall, in front of the State House, in Annapolis, MD. They are urging the General Assembly to adopt a bill, entitled: “Maryland Health Security Act.” It calls for a state single-payer healthcare system. I agree so as the education is very important to us.At the end of the current winter public school quarter, each of the 1,926 educators in Providence, R.I., educational facilities will be dismissed, states the Providence Journal. It is a matter of a $ 40 million budget deficit, and the Providence School Board is addressing it in full panic mode. All must be decided by the March 1 deadline.
