Documentary "Incident in New Bagdad" up for Academy Award

By War Criminals Watch - Posted on 31 January 2012

Congratulations to Director James Spione and Ethan McCord. Ethan is the subject of the film Incident in New Baghdad, nominated for an Academy Award in documentary film. Ethan is a hero, whether the film wins an award, or not.  We will be looking for him to cross the red carpet wearing a Free Bradley Manning button, a We Are Not Your Soldiers bandana, and he says...maybe an orange jumpsuit tux.  Seriously, this is a great honor for a great film that tells the story of Ethan's change into a person striving to keep his own humanity by telling the reality of U.S. war crimes in Iraq. We hope the film wins!
