Bill Hughes' Slideshow of 19 photos from the Protest to Save Read's Drug Store

On Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at noon, a demonstration was held in front of the former Read's Drug Store, located at the corner of Lexington & Howard Streets, in Baltimore, MD. It was the site of an historic sit-in action, in 1955, relative to the Civil Rights Movement. The activists at the rally want to preserve the building and to also "defend Baltimore's Black History."
