Bill Hughes’s Slideshow of 30 photos on the Rally for Single Payer in Maryland. On Wednesday morning, Feb. 23, 2011, activists rallied at Lawyers Mall, in front of the State House, in Annapolis, MD. They are urging the General Assembly to adopt a bill, entitled: “Maryland Health Security Act.” It calls for a state single-payer healthcare system.

I haven't noticed any articles posted here recently about the Vermont government moving to some form of single-payer public health care system and possibly leading the way in this regard, and maybe there were some articles about this here. But while I didn't read the articles, there were titles for some over the past several weeks mentioning that Vermont is either doing or proposing to do this. I think to recall that the wording for the titles was or implied stronger than Vermont only proposing this, seeming to recall that it seemed very certain.
These articles may've been posted or linked www.antiwar.com or www.informationclearinghouse.info, but am not sure. It might've also or otherwise been AlJazeera.net. I unfortunately didn't bookmark any of these articles; only having read the titles for links and possibly subheadings or short excerpts.
