On Monday, June 13, 2011, the AFL-CIO organized a rally in front of the “Newseum,” in Washington, D.C. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) was inside via CBS holding a “town hall” meeting. Outside, Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD) spoke to the union activists ripping the Republican’s slash and burn budget measures and urging them to fight back before they destroy Medicare and give another tax break to their corporate cronies.
