Accountability Now, Long Overdue!!

Gen. Hugh Shelton: Bush Officials Pushed For Iraq War 'Almost To The Point Of Insubordination' (VIDEO)

10-24-10 - Former Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. Hugh Shelton says that, during the Bush administration, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, his deputy, Paul Wolfowitz, and other Pentagon officials pushed to go to war with Iraq "almost to the point of insubordination."

"There was a very strong push in those days for us to go into Iraq, and there was absolutely no intelligence, zero, that pointed toward the Iraqis.," he told Christiane Amanpour on ABC's 'This Week' on Sunday. "It was all Al Qaida, Osama bin Laden. And yet there was an element there that was -- that was pushing to go into Iraq at the same time." {read rest}

They don't impress in good ways, that is. What's this General been doing for the past eight years, sleeping? Did he recently retire, so now he feels that since there are no promotions potentially ahead for him, and no more "medals" that an active General potentially can be awarded, now he can suddenly speak about about truths many of us have known for many years, already, and which he must surely have known about over all of these years?

Such tardiness deserves no credit.

Accountability definitely is long overdue, including for both wars and the extension into Pakistan.

But there's a [lot] of typical U.S. militarist propaganda in this ABC interview with General Shelton or Sheldon (?), who evidently is a very dishonest individual and a war criminal. The interview is just bs US propaganda [again] and the ABC host should take a leap over ....

Unintentionally posted a duplicate comment.
